As indicated, these statistics are based on the 1991 Census Data. While some of them are quite volatile, the majority of them, by virtue of their nature, are quite static and could remain relevant until the present time.

-   The population share changes from year to year. The direction of the future shares can be determined by the growth rates.

-   It is expected that the Nationality ratio would increase given the continued influx of migrant labour into the BVI.

-   Both the proportions of persons <15 years and =65 years are expected to decrease for the previously mentioned reason. Therefore, the Young and Old Dependency Ratios will decrease.

-   Increases are expected in the proportion of Low-Skill employees and the Low income earners as the majority of migrants come into jobs at these levels.

-   Average Monthly Income will increase given the increase in the minimum wage in 1994 and 1999.

-   Tourism-Related employment is expected to increase given the continued expansion of the Tourism sector.
