workgroup as a result of a series of surveys of businesses, government
departments and some external organizations. |

Description of Publication:

The annual Balance of Payments (BOP) publication covers transactions between BVI economic entities and all other entities during a calendar year. The objective of this publication is to determine the overall balance on our international trade in goods and services with the Rest of the World.
The BOP publication is divided into two broad sections- the current which covers current transactions in goods and ser vices and the capital and financial account covering capital and financial transactions.
The publication is both statistical and analytical as a result of the survey information collected form both domestic and foreign sources. Collection of data is very challenging given the openness of the British Virgin Islands economy.
