and projects under this special projects category either command a substantial amount of
financial resources or are expected to have a comprehensive and lasting impact on both
government and the people of the British Virgin Islands. Some special projects might be
prerequisites to other major projects.
For example the
special projects placed on this site include multi-sector impacting ones such as
the draft Physical
Planning Act, the National
Integrated Development Plan, the Public Sector Development Programme
(PSDP),
Health
Sector Reform, the New Hospital, the Education Review and
Beef
Island Development Project. We
intend to post logical framework, consultant terms of reference, project description and
scope, justification, benefits and costs, outcomes and associated risks.
In order to keep
our readers fully informed monthly updated financial and physical progress reports will be
posted on this web site. However, we would like our readers to realize that project
